SMTP Settings - for Utility Mailboxes, MFCs, Scanners, Printers & Copiers
Regardless of the device being used, the following settings relate specifically to SMTP connections to Exchange.
There are two options.
OPTION 1
Server Name: smtp.exchangeserver.net.au or smtp-relay.exchangeserver.net.au
User Name: your Exchange e-mail address
Password: your mailbox password
Type: SMTP
Port: 25
Security: TLS (if the option is available on your device)
OPTION 2
Server Name: mail.exchangeserver.net.au
User Name: your Exchange e-mail address
Password: your mailbox password
Type: SMTP
Port: 587
Security: TLS (required)
Choose Option 1 if your device does not give you the ability to use TLS (Transport Layer Security).
If you can enable TLS on your device, then you are free to choose either of these options.
